Hey readers! Here is today's selection from one of the incredible Harry Potter Books. Now remember again that all the rights go to J.K. Rowling and Scholastic Inc. I am not trying to copy, just providing you as my reader a daily book excerpt from the books that we love! :D

So today's Selection comes from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in Chapter Five. This is a unique Blog Post because it isn't starting right at the beginning of the Chapter it is somewhere within the Chapter. I hope you enjoy! :D

BOOK EXCERPT:

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE

CHAPTER FIVE (starts at the end of page 65)

DIAGON ALLEY

People stared more than ever on the train. Hagrid took up two seats and sat knitting what looked like a canary-yellow circus tent.
"Still got yer letter, Harry?" he asked as he counted stitches.
Harry took the parchment envelope out of his pocket.
"Good," said Hagrid. "There's a list of everything yeh need."
Harry unfolded a second piece of paperer he hadn't noticed the night before, and read:

"Can we buy all this in London?" Harry wondered aloud.
"If yeah know where to go," said Hagrid.

Harry had never been to London before. Although Hagrid seemed to know where he was going, he obviously not used to getting there in an ordinary way. He got stuck in the ticket barrier on the Underground, and complained loudly that the seats were too small and the trains too slow.
"I don't know how the Muggles manage without magic," he said as they climbed a broken-down escalator that led up to a bustling road lined with shops.
Hagrid was so huge that he parted the crowd easily; all Harry had to do was keep close behind him. They passed book shops and music stores, hamburger restaurants and cinemas, but nowhere that looked as if it could sell you a magic wand. This was just an ordinary street full of ordinary people. Could there really be piles of wizard gold beneath them? Were there really shops that sold spell books and broomsticks? Might this not all some huge joke that the Dursley's cooked up? If Harry hadn't known that the Dursely's had no sense of humor, he might have thought so; yet somehow, even though everything about Hagrid had told him so far unbelievable, Harry couldn't help trusting him.
"This is it," said Hagrid, coming to a halt, "the Leaky Cauldron. It's a famous place."

Well there was today's Harry Potter Book Excerpt! :D I hope you enjoyed it! Sorry about the lateness! iPad was taken away from me by dad because he wanted to use it to surf the web for a bit, which ended up being 30 minutes! Sorry, I am going to be doing a special edition blog here later to make up for it. Well thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this BOOK EXCERPT! :D

Book 8??? NO!

Hey my readers! :D Today's blog post as you can see is going to be about something about J.K. Rowling, the great creator of the wonderful world of Harry Potter. Well you might already know that she is going to appear on Oprah this Friday! So tomorrow night I will most defiantly be doing a Blog Post about it. Now there has been some speculation going around about what the interview is about, and what she discussed in the interview. Well one rumor I heard was that there is talk of an 8th Harry Potter book. Now I am not trying to make anyone made in saying that I do not want an 8th book, and I am not trying to say I am not a Harry Potter fan because trust me I AM A HARRY POTTER FAN! I am not trying to critique Jo or anything either. I am just saying that saying that she left the books off at a great place. She intended the series to end in 2007 with the release of Deathly Hallows. Now I am sure we (including me) wished back in 2007 before the release of the last book, that Jo would not end the series! We wanted her to continue to write more and more Harry Potter books. I say now, though, that she ended the series. It has been over for more than 3 years now. She intended for it to end, and the way she ended it was beyond perfect! She ended the series though, the way she wanted it to end! END OF STORY! :D Now I know we all are in our Post-Potter stage! I will be for the rest of my life after July 15th, 2010, but I say NO to a 8th Harry Potter book.

Now if she did make one, I know I would by it and read it and LOVE IT!!!! I just don't think she should create another one when she intended it to end with Deathly Hallows. Now I think doing the Encyclopedia is a good idea. That would be amazing! I am going to talk about that another time though! ;) I also think that if she did a book about the younger generation (like James's life) I think that would be kind of cool! It is all up to her though! I know whatever she does though will be amazing! :D I love Harry Potter! I LOVE JOANNE ROWLING, for creating the world that we all love. I will accept and love whatever she decides to do! :) <3

Well thanks for reading this Blog Post! I hope you enjoyed it! Remember to tune in tomorrow night to Oprah to watch Jo's interview with Oprah. I hope I did not make anyone mad by what I said. It is just my opinion! Whats yours???? Email me at noahmbitney@gmail.com and i might post it on here! I know lots of people have different opinions, so I would like to hear yours! :D Thanks again for reading.

@lsangeadov's 4th Guess That Chapter Blog Post!

Basilisk
(Also known as “The King of Snakes”) Ministry of Magic Classification: XXXXX
The first Basilisk reported was raised by Herpo “The Crazy”, a Greek dark wizard that spoke parseltounge. After a lot of experiments, Herpo found out that from a chicken egg hatched by a toad it came out a giant snake gifted with extremely dangerous powers.
The Basilikc is a bright green snake that can reach more than 49.2 feet long. The male has a scarlet feather on the top of his head. It has extremely poisonous fangs, but his most murderous weapon it’s his glance. Anyone that looks directly to its big yellow eyes will die instantly.
If the amount of food is sufficient (the basilisk feeds from all mammals, birds and reptiles) it can live a lot of years. It is known that the Basilisk raised by Herpo “the Crazy” was over nine hundred years.
The Basilisk breed its illegal since Middle Age, but the practice can be hidden easily by taking the egg from the toad’s bottom when the Ministry arrives. Nevertheless, since no one can handle them except the parseltounge speaking, the basilisks turn out to be as dangerous to the dark wizards as to anyone else. There aren’t reports of sights in Great Britain for four centuries now.

Hoped you liked it, and as we know for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it’s a lie, there have been sights in this century.
